Jacksonville Woodlands

Yes, another hike...we must like these :) We did this one the day after our big 6 miler. The Jacksonville Woodlands are nice and easy though. We had quite a group this time. Grandma Caswell, Uncle Eric, Auntie Heather, the twins, and our friends, Ryan, Melinda, and Georgianna Robertson, all came with us. We had a wonderful time and continued the fun with pizza at our house afterwards.

Hiking the Rogue

One Saturday morning we decided to take a hike along the Rogue River. We knew it was going to be a longish hike...about 4 miles. When we got to the trailhead though there was a sign that said the start had been moved 2 miles further up. So our longish hike became a very long hike :) Grant was a trooper. He took his naps on the trail and even had a bottle on the trail. He loves being outside just like his Daddy. We got to try him out in his new backpack on a real hike. It worked great, other than the rub burn he got on his chin from constantly looking out beside Daddy's head. Our good friend, Moriah, went with us, and through rain and steep terrain we finished the trail at Lost Creek Lake.

Growing So Fast!

We are mobile! Grant started crawling when he was about 7 1/2 months old. It started with an army crawl and quickly moved into full on crawling within about a week. Along with crawling came pulling himself up on everything and being able to get to a sitting position on his own. It is a whole new world for us! Nothing is safe...including Olivia, our kitty :)

Not only is Grant growing...look at that hair!

Can't you just see the intent?

"I'm gonna touch her Mom."

Bath Time at Gammy and Pop Pop's

Bath time has really turned into a fun adventure with Grant being able to sit up on his own. He loves being in the bathtub! He splashes and splashes...notice the water everywhere in the pictures! Bath time is a whole new world when you can crawl around and make a mess :)

Two Weeks in Florence

Mommy and Grant spent two weeks visiting the family in Florence. Uncle Jordan and Aunt Elizabeth came from Ohio with little baby Henry, and we didn't want to miss out on any of the fun. Daddy came to visit on the weekends (someone had to stay home and do all the work!). Here are a whole bunch of pictures from the time we were there. Enjoy :)

The Caswell's in Florence

Doing one of Gammy's favorite activities...bath time!
Grant just looks like such a big boy to me in this picture...it looks like he really wants to be where Henry is in the bath instead of on the side :)
What a cool dude! Love him!

Grant loves to try and keep up with the twins that Auntie Allison nannies.
Uncle J and Henry

On a walk in chilly Florence

Poppop can always get Grant to smile and laugh.
Family walk to the coffee shop

The entire Stone clan

We always spend a good amount of time at the coffee shop when we are in Florence.

The in-laws get really excited about their free drinks! :)

We tried and tried to get a good picture of the boys in their matching outfits from Poppop and Gammy, but it never really worked out. I can't imagine why it would be difficult to photograph a newborn and an 8 month old! ;)
Grant is so relaxed when we are in Florence. He can pretty much get away with anything while we are there. His grandparents and aunties adore him!

Hike up Sweet Creek with Uncle Bart, Aunt Judy, and Uncle Wes

It was an absolutely beautiful day and the hike was gorgeous!

My Cuz

Grant's newest cousin, Henry, came to visit from Cincinnati. Henry is my brother, Jordan, and his wife, Elizabeth's first baby. He was only 4 weeks old when they took the long flight out to Oregon. He did a great job on the plane and we all had a fun time with him in Florence. Grant was very excited to meet him, and can't wait until they can play together.
