Happy Birthday Grant!

One year ago today, Mommy was laboring hard to bring a precious baby boy into the world. What a wonderful year it has been. It is hard to believe that a year has already gone by. Here is a photo journey through each month of our first year together.

Playing in the Dog House

Who let the dogs out? Dogs were the theme of Grant's first birthday party. Since dog ("da") was his first word, we figured it was appropriate to have a Dog party. What a bash it was! Many friends and family came to celebrate this wonderful event. We ate Hot Dogs, Puppy Chow, and Bone Cookies. Grant's many girl friends had a great time in the dog house that Mommy made. (All of our friends have girls...Grant needs more boy friends!) His actual birthday isn't until Thursday, but we made the most of this early celebration. Here are a few shots from the day.

Mother's Day

We spent Mother's Day weekend in Black Butte with Poppop and Gammy. It would have been perfectly relaxing if Grant had been feeling better. He came down with a cold and his first ear infection right before the weekend :( So he was feeling less than par, but we still had a nice time. And even though he was feeling bad we took advantage of all Black Butte has to offer. We went to the park, played tennis, swam, shopped in Sisters, and ate wonderful food. Thank you Poppop and Gammy for a great weekend!

Walk Like a Man

Yes...that's right...Grant is officially walking!! He took his first steps about a month ago, but has finally mastered walking. And boy is he walking everywhere! Nothing can stop him (except for maybe that tricky thresh hold going out the sliding door)! It is so much fun to watch his little unsure steps as he wobbles all around the house. Can't believe that he has started walking before his first birthday! And lucky Mom and Dad, he has also discovered how to get into the cupboards. Don't worry...they are safely locked.
